Valley women ready to move on, create new memories

ANNVILLE - The many things the Lebanon Valley College women's basketball team accomplished last season will never be forgotten.

Nor should they be. Winning a conference title for the first time in program history and advancing all the way to the Elite Eight of the NCAA Division III Tournament doesn't just provide a temporarily pleasant memory - it sticks around for life.

But there also comes a time to turn the page and move on. For LVC, that time is now.

Or, more accurately, that time will come at 6 p.m. tonight, when the Valley begins the season after the season at home at LVC Gymnasium against Marywood in a non-conference clash that will serve as the opening game of a men's-women's doubleheader. The Valley men will take on York beginning at 8 p.m. in another season-opening clash.

"It's a great season to look back on, and the memories are nice," said the architect of LVC's highly successful recent past, sixth-year head coach Todd Goclowski.
