School Bus Accident Seriously Injures Four Teens in Lincoln County
On Tuesday afternoon, an accident in Jefferson County involving a school bus left four teenagers seriously injured. According to the Missouri Highway Patrol , Stephanie Moore (17) was driving a 2008 Chevrolet Cobalt westbound on Old Highway A near Route A when she failed to negotiate a curve in the roadway. Moore then entered into the eastbound lane which caused her to strike the front of a school bus head-on around 3 pm. The school bus involved was driven by Denny Heard (56).
Stephanie Moore was traveling with three passengers at the time of the accident: Dylan Alexander (18), Kyle Bisch (17), and Kayla Briley (14). All four teenagers traveling in the Chevrolet Cobalt at the time of the accident were seriously injured as a result. Dylan Alexander was taken to St. Anthony’s Medical Center by ambulance, while Bisch, Briley, and Moore were all taken to Jefferson Regional Medical Center. Denny Heard, driver of the school bus, was not injured in this accident. All of the individuals involved in this accident were reported as wearing their seatbelts at the time of the crash.
