A video of four men molesting her quickly made its way onto the Internet, where it sparked furore among netizens.
The video showed the men placing their hands on her breasts and grinding their groins suggestively onto her from behind.
It sparked outrage from netizens, who were appalled at the apathy of onlookers, some of whom claimed on forums and blogs that they thought the men were hired as part of a performance.
Others said she deserved it, claiming she did not seem to make any effort to move away.
Said one netizen: "The girl did not complain, she's happy, the foreign workers (or whoever they are) are happy, we are happy. Cheers!"
Others added that the men's bad behaviour was expected, given the nature and setting of the countdown party.
A netizen known as Nitez86 said: "I personally feel that ladies who dress in such an exposed manner in such environments should know the consequences.
